FBI CINCINNATI CITIZENS ACADEMY ALUMNI ASSOCIATION

FBICCAAA News

FBICCAAA serves in two ways: through our hands-on volunteer efforts and through the generosity of our members to support our community.  STAY CONNECTED TO HEAR ABOUT OUR MANY OPPORTUNITIES.

Calling All Members

Your experiences, ideas, and suggestions are incredibly important to us. That's why we're inviting you to take the Member Feedback Questionnaire, a quick and easy way to help shape the future of your FBI Cincinnati Citizens Academy Alumni Association (FBICCAAA).

JOIN OUR BOARD or PROJECT TEAMS

We are always encouraging our members to become more involved in keeping the Alumni Association vibrant. Consider joining our board of directors or volunteering for one of our many subcommittees. Reach out to any of use to initiate a conversation about the many roles for you to get involved.

Currently we are seeking two folks. One is for someone interested in development (fundraising and grant writing) and the second is for a Communications Team Member.

GIVING OPPORTUNITIES

Like any nonprofit, we ask for financial contributions to support our projects, but that's not the only way you can give. Again this year, we will partner with the Bureau to create "Tubs for Teachers" and the "Winter Warmth Coat Drive" as two of our continued tradition of giving back.

Our donations are part of our community outreach efforts and provide an opportunity for us to talk about the agency's work.

We will start collecting items for the Tubs for Teachers during the summer, and the coats, hats, etc. are collected for St. Vincent de Paul at the December Socials.

As Donald Bush transitions to Past President, he is applauded by his Board of Directors

The FBI Cincinnati Citizens Academy Alumni Association Board of Directors extends our sincere appreciation and heartfelt thanks to Donald Bush for his distinguished service and leadership as President.

A graduate of the FBI Cincinnati Citizens Academy Class of 2018, Donald became actively involved with the Association immediately upon graduation. He consistently attended events, served on various teams, and demonstrated a strong commitment to the mission and membership. He later served two years as Vice President, further establishing himself as a trusted and dedicated leader.

Donald stepped into senior leadership during a period of uncertainty, first serving as Interim President by appointment from FBI National Citizens Academy Alumni Association. During this critical time, he became a pillar of strength, providing stability, restoring trust, and fostering unity. One of his most profound accomplishments was bridging a deeply embedded division within the organization, bringing members and partners together through transparency, mutual respect, and a renewed sense of shared purpose. His leadership was marked not only by sound governance, but also by intentional communication, a feedback-oriented approach, personal engagement, and audience-aware perception; reaching out to members and partners to listen, connect, and strengthen collaboration.

Following his interim service, Donald was elected President and served a two-year term defined by growth, cohesion, and excellence. Under his leadership, the Association strengthened compliance and organizational structure, expanded programs across both North and South areas, increased alumni engagement, developed new fundraising and youth outreach initiatives, and reinforced strong relationships with the FBI Field Office and FBI National Citizens Academy Alumni Association , restoring the Chapter’s image and earning recognition as one of the top chapters in the country.

Donald’s countless hours of mentoring, managing, and service have left a lasting impact. He leaves the organization stronger, more unified, and well-positioned for continued success. As he concludes his term as President, we offer our deepest gratitude for his unwavering dedication, leadership, and commitment to the mission of FBI Cincinnati Citizens Academy Alumni Association.

Donald will continue to serve the next two years as Immediate Past President, working closely with the incoming President and Board of Directors to ensure a smooth transition and ongoing support for the organization’s mission and members.

FBI Cincinnati Citizens Academy Alumni Association is a 510(c)(3) nonprofit organization separate and apart from the FBI.
